With the new AW12 season well and truly on its way we at BENGT are sure to get our wardrobe style fix from designers like Louise Amstrup, Joanna Pybus and Moxham to name a few… But what are the make up looks that will help to finish off our new Autumn outifts?
BENGT caught up with make up artist & beauty blogger Linda Andersson (at Nude lip and smokey eye) to get her take on the new season’s beauty trends before she whizzes off for a busy schedule at the fashion weeks – which last season included working on shows for stellar names like Tom Ford, Mugler, Rick Owens, Vivenne Westwood, Issey Myake, Etro, Haakan… (the list goes on).
So armed with insider knowledge, let’s see what this talented up and coming make up artist had to say about the season ahead…
TREND 1 – GO GRAPHIC
Seen at Lanvin, Topshop, Erdem, Mugler and Mary Katrantzou.
This season, the classic eyeliner got a face lift. Use MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack to recreate Lanvin’s thick eyeliner or go creative and buy Clarins limited editon 3 Dot Eyeliner to play around with angular shapes like at the Mary Katrantzou show.
TREND 2 – BRIGHT EYES
Seen at Stella McCartney, Prabal Gurung, Roberto Cavalli, Anna Sui and Donna Karan.
Blue, green and purple dominated as eyelid colours. Be adventurous and replace your smokey eye with a bright colour this season or use blue, purple or green instead of your black mascara. Match it with natural gorgeous skin and a nude lip.
TREND 3 – DARK MAGIC
Seen at Gucci, Viktor & Rolf, YSL and Marc By Marc Jacobs.
Lips was another big statement this season, mainly in red and burgundy but also some brown shades. For a bold impact wear it with bleached eyebrows, mascara and a natural base. For a softer and more romantic look, fill in your eyebrows and add a gold or rose shimmer eyeshadow.

Travelling the world – I’ve been to lots of inspiring places like Beijing, Cape Town, New York and Zanzibar. Another highlight was when I did Dasha Zhukova’s make up for WSJ Magazine, shot by Juergen Teller.
