Following the time line of North America history, Atkinson’s AW ’11 collection references the native, the Scottish, English and Irish colonization and the turn of the century era inspired by the film ‘There will be blood’. The collection is bought up to modern day with silver hardware and feather embellishment in allusion to extreme body piercing. This tough, hard interpretation of native American ritual concludes the timeline and contextualizes this season’s study on the progression of American culture.

Elliot Atkinson completed a BA womanswear at Edinburgh College of Art for which he received the Waterman Fashion Illustration prize. The AW ’11 is Elliot second collection which he’s stocking apart from BENGT at Opening Ceremony NYC and I.T Hong Kong.
