Lauren Barfoot
Lauren Barfoot engineers her distinctive fashion prints to flatter and enhance the female form. Most of her inspiration comes from historical artifacts and antique fabrics, but she’s developed fresh and unique designs in her own style to create a contemporary handwriting. Her first accessories collection manufactured in Como, Italy, has taken reference to 19th century French Orientalism. The designs feature winged birds, ornate fans and stylised flowers complimented with geometric lines.
Since graduation from the Royal College of Art in 2011, Lauren has a growing list of Achievements. She was featured in the RCA/ Marks and Spencer’s Limited collection in 2010, her work has appeared on ELLE.COM, in 2009 she was one of only 3 student finalists named in the Drapers ‘Young Textile Designer of the Year’ and last year she also scooped the prestigious Haberdashers Prize. The future certainly looks bright for this promising and versatile young designer.
