Laura Simpson graduated in 2009 from Nottingham Trent University, showcasing her graduate work at New Designers in 2009. 

Her work uses a range of embroidery techniques manipulation and embellishment to create unique pieces.

This collection is developed from her graduate portfolio, inspired by contrasting soft delicate natural textures and hard mineral elements, translating these into textural jewellery pieces of manipulated silk fabrics and intricate embellishment.
